Ministry partner update: ICOMB – February 2021

The church in Angola prepares for leadership transition

Jean-Claude Ambeke is the current president of Igreja Evangelica dos Irmaos Menonitas en Angola (IEIMA) – the MB conference in Angola. His term expires in June 2021. Jean-Claude has worked hard to bring the conference out of financial crisis and rebuild trust after a corrupt former leader embroiled the conference in debts and legal battles. He is discerning a call to mission overseas after his term ends. His goal is to model peaceful leadership transitions and mentorship for the conference. To that end, he has been mentoring Daniel Nelson Cangangela, a member of the national leadership board since 2012. Daniel is completing a master's degree in missiology. Pray for Daniel and Jean-Claude and their families and for the Angolan conference.
